Please be aware if you arrive to your room and you smell damp and mould and your sheets and pillow cases are damp to touch them request to be moved or refuse the room straight.
Having spoken to a number of management and health and safety and also the cleaners I can't understand why this building block was not sectioned off to protect the guests from potential harm to their health and wellbeing. Having spoken to a number of cleaners in our building block they were extremely knowledgeable regarding the present conditions that floor 3 was experiencing.
Other guests were also moved once they had experienced damp in the room were the bed sheets and pillow cases and even the walls were damp. However, our health deterioration in week 2 due to being in damp room for 8 days before we were transferred to an alternative floor. We were subjected to poor air conditioning system which was a breeding ground for bacteria which has had a knock on effect with our health that led to myself reporting it to health and safety and being relocated to floor 5 were the room was much better. This made both my wife and myself very poorly. Poor side of this hotel was the rooms on the entire 3rd floor were damp and strong smell of mould.
